RCA to host Sound Impact on October 3

Sound Impact boasts a varied roster of musicians who perform regularly with the National Symphony Orchestra, Washington Ballet, Washington National Opera and Wolf Trap Opera.

NORTHUMBERLAND—The Rappahannock Concert Association (RCA) will present Sound Impact at 7:30 p.m. October 3 at the Performing Arts Theater at Northumberland High School, 201 Academic Lane, Heathsville.

Admission is by season subscription, or $35. Tickets are a free for students. Purchase tickets at rappahannock.org, 1-888-210-6006, or the door.



Founded in 2013, Sound Impact is a collective of musicians dedicated to connecting, engaging and em
powering youth beyond the concert hall through performances and education programs, reported RCA publicity chairman Delores Meo. Its mission is underpinned by the belief that music has the ability to ignite positive social change when employed as a tool for community engagement.

Sound Impact reaches over 10,000 young people annually through programs including in-school education concerts, classroom curriculum, interactive workshops, a virtual education series, innovative ukulele training, incarcerated youth residencies, international festivals and cultural exchange opportunities.
