Registration is now open for the Winter Golf Croquet League at Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club, 1834 Twiggs Ferry Road, Hartfield.

“Yes, it is cold in the winter, but there are many nice days also,” said Club President Macey White. “Plenty (of nice days) to schedule your league games.”

Play continues through March 12. The league ending party is March 13.

According to White, each week player assignments are issued and the players then contact each other and schedule a time to play.

“If you are unavailable for one or more weeks, you just schedule those games for another time,” he said.

There are separate flights for beginners, intermediate and advanced level players. The first two matches will be training games for the beginner and novice players. In these games, beginners are paired with more experienced players.

The fee is $10 for members and $20 for non-members. The fees will be used to pay for the end-of-league

party, according to White.

To register, email maceywhite@gmail.com.
