Stratford Hall to host 2024 Wine & Oyster Festival September 21-22

WESTMORELAND—The Stratford Hall 2024 Wine & Oyster Festival will be held September 21 and 22 at Stratford Hall Historic Preserve, 483 Great House Road, Stratford. Festival hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday.

The event will feature Virginia wineries, oysters, distilleries, cideries, breweries, food trucks, artisan booths, music, car shows and family-friendly activities. The upper floor of the Great House will be open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday.

Advance tickets are $35 through September 19. Tickets are $45 the day of the event. Non-tasting tickets are $25 each; ages 6-13, $10; and ages 5 and younger, free. Tickets are good for one day only and tasting tickets are for wine only.

Party tent rentals near the music stage also are available by reservation. The $325 rental fee includes a 15-foot by 15-foot frame tent, an 8-foot table and six chairs. Tents may be reserved for 10 a.m.-2 p.m., or 2-6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. Tent rentals do not include tickets.

Breakfast and lodging
For those who want to get an early start, a country breakfast buffet, prepared by 1710 Tavern, will be offered from 8-9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday in the Stratford Hall Dining Room. The fee is $20 per person and reservations may be made at stratfordhall.org.

Lodging also may be available at Stratford Hall. Advance registration is required, special rates apply. Call 493-1967 for availability and reservations.
