Porch Gliders to return to Reedville on August 9

The Porch Gliders will be featured Saturday, August 9, at Concerts by the Creek under the Wendell G. Haynie Pavilion and the Reedville Fishermen’s Museum, 504 Main Street, Reedville. They will return Saturday, August 30, for Aquapalooza, on Cockrell Creek at the Morris-Fisher Tall Stack, Reedville.

NORTHUMBERLAND––The Porch Gliders will make a return appearance from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, August 9, at Concerts by the Creek, Reedville Fishermen’s Museum, 504 Main Street, Reedville.

The band, based in Farmville, plays music to have a good time by, from rock to country, according to Denis McCarthy, who helped establish the band about seven years ago.

The concert will be in the pavilion, so it’s rain-or-shine. Food and beverages will be sold. No outside food, beverages or pets.

Tickets are $20 for members and $25 for others, online or at the door. Proceeds benefit the museum. Purchase advance tickets at rfmuseum.org.
