
The Bulb Shoppe and Gardens at Brent and Becky’s (B and B’s) are open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Saturday, from Feb. 2-Dec. 19. B and B’s is closed for holidays, including on Monday, Feb. 16; Monday, May 25; Friday and Saturday, July 3 and 4; Monday, Sept. 7; and Thursday, Nov. 26. B and B’s is located at 7900 Daffodil Lane in Gloucester.

“Come enjoy our warm greenhouse, explore new inventory and receive assistance from our knowledgeable staff,” a B and B’s spokesman said. “And, of course, the gardens are open to explore.”
Upcoming B and B’s events include:
• Mat Pilates with Valerie — 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 3, 10, 17 and 24. Mat Pilates is a total body conditioning exercise method combining flexibility and strength, using the weight of the body with control. The benefits are improved balance, posture and overall core strength.
Bring a mat and enjoy the causal setting. The 45- to 60-minute class is taught by Valerie Morgan, a well-trained and certified group exercise and personal trainer for more than 42 years, 32 of those years spent as a manager at a local wellness center. Course costs $10 per person, advance registration required.
• Gloucester Daffodil Club Meeting — 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12. Gloucester has an ideal daffodil-growing climate, and historic varieties and modern cultivars flourish there. Bulbs planted in the fall can be relied upon to bloom in the spring, and well-tended plantings increase over the years. Membership is open to all interested people.
Four meetings are planned during the year on the second Thursday of February, May, September and November.

• Open House and Vendor Market — Saturday, Feb. 21. Join them in celebrating the re-opening of the Bulb Shoppe and Gardens at B and B’s. Local vendors will be on hand to share their products. Arrive early to catch the Master Gardeners talk at 10 a.m., explore the vendor market from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., and enjoy discounts and refreshments all day long.
• Master Gardeners Present, Pruning — 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28. Everyone is invited to join the Gloucester Master Gardeners for an informational session packed with great advice. This event is free and open to the public; no registration required.
