Music by the River will open June 13 at Belle Isle State Park

LANCASTER—The Friends of Belle Isle State Park (FOBI) recently announced the 2026 Music by the River schedule. Concerts will be staged from 6-8 p.m. in the picnic area at Belle Isle State Park, 1632 Belle Isle Road, Lancaster.

The concert series will feature Chris & Jane on June 13; Michael Bergamo, June 20; The Tidewinders, July 11; Jumbo Lump Daddy & The Backfin Boys, July 18; The Windbags, August 8; and Ramona & The Holy Smokes, August 15.

Chris & Jane will return to the Music by the River stage at Belle Isle State Park on June 13. They will perform a mix of folk, country and classic rock favorites.

Bring a picnic, family and friends. Don’t forget lawn chairs, blankets and bug spray. The friends will provide free popcorn. Water and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Leashed pets are welcome, alcohol is not.

Music by the River fans are reminded of a River Road detour they may encounter on their approach to the park. Those heading north on River Road from White Chapel Road will need to take a right onto Nuttsville Road, a left onto Morattico Road, a left back onto River Road and a right on Belle Isle Road. Those headed north on Mary Ball Road from Kilmarnock should pass through Lively, turn left onto Morattico Road, left onto River Road and right onto Belle Isle Road. Those headed south from Richmond County will continue on Mary Ball Road, right onto River Road and right onto Belle Isle Road, avoiding the detour route.

The concerts are free, thanks to the generosity of sponsors. A $5 parking fee is payable at the gate.
