Tickets are on sale for February 1 ULVFD shrimp and oyster dinner

LANCASTER—The Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department will hold its 14th annual “all you can eat shrimp and oyster dinner” on February 1 at the Lively Firehouse, 5170 Mary Ball Road, Lively. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. and dinner will be served from 4-7 p.m.

Tickets are $50 and may be purchased at The Corner or Chesapeake Bank in Lively, Primis Bank in Burgess and Noblett Appliances in Kilmarnock. Tickets will be available at the firehouse from 9 a.m.-noon on Saturdays through January 20. Tickets also may be purchased from any fireman.

No tickets will be sold at the door. All proceeds will benefit The Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department.

“Only 450 tickets will be sold so buy your tickets early,” said assistant secretary Jimmy Coates. “They make great Christmas gifts.”

Hot dogs and homemade bean soup also will be served. Soft drinks and beer and wines are included in the ticket price.

“Come out for good food and a good time and don’t forget your oyster knife,” said Coates.
