Tappahannock partners with Pack Brothers Hospitality for Hoskins Creek Restaurant, lodging and dock management

The Town of Tappahannock recently announced Pack Brothers Hospitality will manage and operate the future restaurant, currently referred to as Hoskins Creek Restaurant. The official name will be finalized and announced at a later date.

This anticipated establishment is a vital component of the Hoskins Creek Park Development Project, an initiative to enhance the town’s natural beauty, waterfront access, environmental sustainability and economic development, reported town manager Eric Pollitt.

The project, which began in October 2024, focuses on preserving the creek’s environmental health and revitalizing the Tappahannock waterfront. Phase 1, now underway, includes shoreline stabilization, landscape enhancements and the creation of an entrance road. Planned dock and fuel station developments will follow.

Pack Brothers Hospitality, founded by Randy and Brian Pack, brings an exceptional legacy in hospitality management, said Pollitt. Known for their iconic establishments such as Smithfield Station and The Surry Seafood Company, the Pack brothers have earned a reputation for creating unforgettable experiences. Their vision and dedication to excellence will ensure that Hoskins Creek Restaurant serves exceptional cuisine and also becomes a community hub and highlight within the park. The restaurant is scheduled to open in 2026.

“Our partnership with Pack Brothers Hospitality reflects our commitment to making Hoskins Creek Park a cornerstone of community life and a must-visit attraction on Virginia’s waterfront,” he said. “The restaurant, with Pack Brothers’ vision, will serve as an iconic gathering place for both residents and visitors, embracing our town’s charm and the natural beauty of Hoskins Creek.”

The Pack Brothers also will manage four lodging units planned above the restaurant and the new boating facilities.

The development schedule for the Hoskins Creek Park Project outlines major milestones over the next two years. The entrance road, which will provide essential access to the park and restaurant site, is slated for completion by the end of 2025. The docks and fuel station are scheduled to be operational by late 2026.
