Spring into local shopping at Yorktown Market Days

With sweeping views of the York River, it’s no wonder why Yorktown Market Days has been named one of Coastal Virginia Magazine’s Best Farmers Markets in Hampton Roads.

This is a one-stop shop for seasonal produce; scratch-made desserts, pastries and ethnic foods; fresh poultry, eggs and milk; beef, pork and seafood; honey, jams and sauces; flowers, plants and herbs; coffee, tea and fresh-pressed juices; Virginia farm wineries; high-quality art; and even gourmet dog treats!

The market’s 19th season opened in April. The market is a way for families of all economic backgrounds to access fresh, nutritious food as close to the source as possible—the region’s farmers, chefs and food artisans.

This season, several themed markets offer extended hours and additional family-friendly activities such as music, educational programming, and performances by the Fifes and Drums of York Town. Highlights include the Pirate Invasion Market, Fun in the Sun Market, First Responders Market, Fall Festival, Yorktown Victory Market and Paws at the River. The market season runs Saturdays through the end of October, rain or shine, with the exception of May 3 and October 4, plus special dates in November and December.

2025 themed markets include:

  • April 26 and 27, Pirate Invasion Market
  • May 10, Vintage Market/Car Show on Main Street
  • May 17, Community Market
  • July 12, Fun in the Sun Market
