Santa Sightings: Plan your visit with the one and only Santa Claus

Christmas is quickly approaching and Santa Claus has a full schedule booked with plenty of children still eager to meet with him and share their lists and wishes. Holiday happenings are already in full swing, but if you have yet to catch up with the big guy, fear not, there are still plenty of opportunities! Plan to add some of these fun community events to your holiday bucket list. And don’t forget to be good for goodness sake!

Northern Neck Santa Sightings

42nd Annual Kilmarnock Lighted Christmas Parade
Friday, December 10 @ 7 p.m.
Main Street, Kilmarnock
The Kilmarnock Parade is back for another exciting year and Santa will of course be joining in the fun.
This year’s parade will feature over 70 different entries. Bundle up and bring the whole family to this beloved Northern Neck tradition!
Santa will also be stopping by the Kilmarnock Firehouse at 5:30 p.m. for photos and visiting.

The Town of Warsaw presents Christmas Town 2021
Friday, December 10 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Warsaw Town Park, Main Street
Head to the Warsaw Town Park on Main Street for a fun-filled evening featuring live music, foods and spirits, vendors, fresh-cut trees, ice skating, train rides, snow machines, photos with Santa, and much more!
Photos with Santa and Mrs. Clause will be from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Please come ready with your own camera.

Breakfast with Santa, White Stone Firehouse
Saturday, December 11 from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m.
Santa will be stopping in for breakfast at the White Stone Firehouse bright and early on Saturday morning. Enjoy some Christmas cheer and breakfast with Santa.

Lively Christmas Parade
Sunday, December 12 @ 3 p.m.
Santa will be joining in the parade fun at Lively on Sunday. He will be available for photos after the parade at the Upper Lancaster VFD Building.

Richmond County Santa Runs
Between Sunday, December 12th and Wednesday, December 15, Santa will make his through Richmond County.

Story Time with Mrs. Claus
Northumberland Public Library
Thursday, December 16 @ 10 a.m.
While Santa will be busy preparing for the big day, Mrs. Claus will be paying a visit to the Northumberland Public Library to greet happy youngsters. Visiting children will be treated to a story, a snack, and a craft activity.

Santa parades through Lively, Kilmarnock, Irvington, and White Stone
Friday, December 17 starting at 7 p.m.
Come out and wave to Santa as he parades through Lively, Kilmarnock, Irvington, and White Stone in style. Families are encouraged to come out and welcome Santa to Lancaster County. Your family can sit in the car or stand outside while Santa passes by with our local Fire, Police, and EMS.
Santa will NOT stop and this is just a drive-thru activity for Santa. Please follow CDC rules.

Free Community Christmas Outreach and Clothes Closet
Corrottoman Baptist Church
Saturday, December 18th from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.
This event is free and open to all of those in need. There will be plenty of gently used clothes and shoes for all ages.
There will also be toys and Christmas goodies to share with families who need a little extra help this year.
Lastly, The Jolly Ole’ Big Guy will be visiting as well for any last-minute wishes and pictures. 

Middle Peninsula Santa Sightings

Santa Visits Norwood’s, Tappahannock
Thursday, December 9th and Thursday, December 16th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
834 S Church Ln, Tappahannock
Santa will be visiting Norwood’s in Tappahannock. Stop in for complimentary pictures with Santa and enjoy extended shopping hours.

Breakfast with Santa, The Daily Grind Coffee House
Saturday, December 11 from 9 a.m. -11 a.m.
10744 Buckley Hall Rd, Mathews
Santa will be stopping in for breakfast at the Daily Grind Coffee House in Mathews. Snap a picture of your little ones as they share their Christmas lists with Santa. Tickets must be purchased before the event and will include a breakfast of 2 cinnamon rolls, hot chocolate, or brewed coffee.

Mathews Christmas Parade
Saturday, December 11 at 1 p.m.
Santa will be making an appearance in the Mathews Christmas Parade on Saturday. The parade route will run from Thomas Hunter Middle School to Bank of America.
Santa will be available for visits after the parade from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m on the front porch of Sibley’s General Store.

Santa visits Mums and Bubs
Every Wednesday until Christmas from 4-6 p.m.
154 Prince St, Tappahannock
Santa will be returning to Mums and Bubs every Wednesday until Christmas for photos and fun.  No need for a reservation, but please arrive early because Santa has a long flight home!
