Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital invites the community to attend the fourth annual Play Day in the Park event from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. May 3 at Town Centre Park, 150 North Main Street, Kilmarnock.
“We are excited to offer this great opportunity for families in our community to enjoy a fun outing at the park while learning more about local health, wellness and safety resources,” said Kristie Duryea, nursing professional development nurse and event lead. “So many incredible community partners will be present, each sharing games, hands on activities, and giveaways. It’s a wonderful sense of community and last year’s turnout was incredible. We hope for the same this year!”
Community partners include the Northern Neck Family YMCA, Kilmarnock Police Department, Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck and Lancaster County CERT.
Some of the attractions available at the event will include the Northern Neck Family YMCA’s “Healthy Kids Day” promotion activities, “touch a truck” with emergency vehicles, child safety information, demonstrations, giveaways, raffles, refreshments and music by Classic Hits 101.7 Bay FM.
Participants will be eligible to enter a raffle to win youth sized bicycles.
This rain or shine event is open to the public, free of charge.
