‘Music on the Half Shell Stage’ will open May 27

LANCASTER—Kilmarnock Town Centre Park recently announced the Music on the Half Shell Stage series for 2022, presented by Chesapeake Bank and the Town of Kilmarnock.

“We are super excited to welcome some amazing local performers as well as performers from the region,” said Mayor Mae Umphlett.

“We all know how hard last year was and we are thrilled to be able to offer music back into the community,” she said.

Each concert starts at 7 p.m. and will end at 9:30 p.m. Again, this year is the option to bring a picnic dinner. No outside alcohol or glass will be allowed and all bags are subject to search to ensure the safety of all guests.

Food vendors will still be on site and beverages for the whole family will be available for purchase. Lancaster by the Bay Chamber will sponsor adult beverage sales from That Damn Mary and Good Luck Cellars.

Each of the concert dates will be a ticketed event. Tickets are $10 each. Tickets will be sold at kilmarnockva.ticketleap.com and at the door. Children younger than age 5 will be admitted free with a paying adult.

Season passes, $50, will be available online through May 6. “You will get seven shows for the price of five, a $20 savings for the entire season,” said community development coordinator Ashley Jones.

“Chesapeake Bank is so excited to partner with and support the Town of Kilmarnock and their efforts to bring back the Music on the Half Shell summer concert series. We are so ready to see everyone at this amazing community event,” said director of marketing Paula Milsted.
