Middlesex YMCA to host Osteoporosis Ed session

The Middlesex Family YMCA will present an educational program titled “Debunking the Seven Myths of Osteoporosis” on Thursday, Jan. 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Middlesex Y bus located at 11487 General Puller Highway in Hartfield. The event is free and open to the public, including both members and non-members.

Susan Brady, MPT, will lead the Middlesex Family YMCA program, “Debunking the Seven Myths of Osteoporosis,” on Jan. 15.

The session will be led by Susan Brady, MPT, Integrative Health & Nutritionist, and will address common misconceptions about osteoporosis and bone health. Participants will learn evidence-based strategies for reducing fracture risk and maintaining strong bones through nutrition, movement, digestion, stress management, and appropriate supplementation.

Osteoporosis is a condition that weakens bones and increases the risk of fractures, particularly among older adults. This program aims to provide accurate information and practical steps for prevention and management.
