Kilmarnock parade to showcase ‘A Community Strong Christmas’

The 43rd annual Kilmarnock Lighted Christmas Parade will be presented by the Lancaster by the Bay Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Town of Kilmarnock, Dec. 9.

LANCASTER—The 43rd Kilmarnock Lighted Christmas Parade will be held December 9 along Main Street. The parade is presented by the Lancaster by the Bay Chamber, in partnership with the Town of Kilmarnock.

The theme will be “A Community Strong Christmas.” Christmas parade co-chairs, Justin Burke and Stacey Akers are excited to celebrate small-town strength, perseverance and unity.

The parade will honor community heroes and be led by firefighters, said executive director Sydney Moss Walters. The Chamber and parade committee thank all local first responders for their sacrifice and commitment to strengthening the community.

The parade will begin at 7 p.m. and will last approximately an hour. Pre-parade activities start with music and refreshments around 5:30 p.m. throughout the Steptoe’s District.

Santa will be available for a pre-parade visit and photo from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Kilmarnock Firehouse on School Street.
