Kilmarnock Garden Club to present ‘Floral Fantasies’

National Garden Club Life Flower Show Judge Kathy Ward will create holiday designs.

LANCASTER—The Kilmarnock Garden Club (KGC) will present “Floral Fantasies,” a holiday design fundraising event at 11 a.m. October 21 at Historic Christ Church in Weems.

Kathy Ward will create Fall, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s “Floral Fantasies.” In addition, Arranger’s Market owner Kate Hugo Vernon, will provide a pop-up shopping experience for flower arrangers and garden enthusiast. Doors will open at 10 a.m. for ticket holders, to accommodate shoppers before the program begins.

Ward, a talented floral designer, has created interpretations of art for the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond during their “Fine Arts and Flowers” events since 2012. She is a member of the Creative Floral Arrangers of the Americas where she has displayed floral designs for their Kaleidoscope as well as exhibited at the Philadelphia Flower Show.

Vernon offers hard-to-find yet easy-to-use containers, tools and equipment that make creating floral designs effortless. Along with these essentials, The Arrangers Market also features a variety of garden-themed gifts.
