Gloucester hosting big scavenger hunt on Easter weekend

Are you on the hunt for something “egg-citing” to do Easter weekend?

Whether you are young in age or at heart, “Gloucester Village Eggsstravanza on Main Street Scavenger Hunt” is fun for all. Just bring a pen and wear comfy shoes as you roam downtown Gloucester following the clues!

Each ticket purchased includes an entry to win a $50 Patriots Grill gift certificate, a clue filled scavenger hunt form, and a fun-filled goodie bag to include a craft, toys, candy and sweet treats from Northern Neck Popcorn Bag and Sweet Tooth Café.

All correct forms will be entered to win one of many drawings and a special prize for the golden egg will be awarded!

Purchase your ticket(s) on Saturday, April 3, anytime between 9-11 a.m. during check-in at the Gloucester Main Street Association (GMSA) table on the patio of Yolanda’s at 6658 Main St. to receive your goodie bag and scavenger hunt form, then scavenge at your leisure throughout the day — just make sure to return your completed form in person to either Yolanda’s or the GMSA office or via email to Director@GloucesterVillage.com by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6. Winners will be announced on the Facebook page for Gloucester Main Street on April 8.

Each scavenger hunt form will have clues that lead you to the participating GMSA businesses, look for the requested item in their storefront windows and doors (you will not need to enter the business to locate your “find”, nor will you actually “collect’ the requested items. This hunt allows you to participate safely from the outside), then write the name of the business on your form and include your information. Please remember to maintain social distancing and masking as appropriate.

To earn additional entries for the Patriots Grill certificate, email pictures of you and yours finding your hunt items at the businesses to Director@GloucesterVillage.com.

Have questions? Email Director@GloucesterVillage.com or call 695-0700.

The event is sponsored by Main Street Preservation Trust and Gloucester Main Street Association.
