The Middlesex Family YMCA will host a Fall Prevention Workshop on Saturday, Jan. 17, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The Middlesex Y is located at 11487 General Puller Highway in Hartfield. The event is free and open to the public.

The workshop will be led by Jay McConville and will focus on practical steps to reduce fall risk, improve balance, and create safer home environments. Falls are a leading cause of injury among older adults, and prevention strategies can help maintain independence and safety.

Attendees will learn simple techniques and lifestyle adjustments to lower the risk of falls in everyday life.

For details, contact Caitlin Griffin at 725-1488 ext. 4007 or Caitlin.Griffin@ymcavp.org.

The Y is for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
