COMPASS to host car show, mini golf tournament

In conjunction with Memory Lane Car Club, COMPASS will host a car show on its grounds from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, May 31. Registration is $20 per vehicle, which includes lunch for one. An additional lunch, one extra per vehicle, can be purchased for $5.

Dash plaques will be given to the first 100 registered vehicles. Prize winners will be announced at 2 p.m.

Pre-registration is required by Monday, May 26. Late registration will be accepted but no lunch is included.

Stop by COMPASS Entertainment Complex or COMPASS administrative building, 127 S. Main Street, Kilmarnock, to register.

The nautical-themed miniature golf course includes water hazards, decorative ponds and lighthouses and a full-size Chesapeake Bay deadrise.

COMPASS will also host a Father’s Day Mini Golf Tournament from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Sunday, June 19. The tournament limit is 72 people with four person teams. The cost is $10 per person or $27 per team with advanced registration. Pre-register to receive a free small fountain drink and popcorn. Sign-up sheets are available at the guest services desk at the entertainment complex.

Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third places along with a most spirited, best hat, most hole-in-ones and best dressed.
