Plein Air Unleashed slated April 29-May 4

“Dead Rise at Rest,” a painting by Joseph Burrough, is an example of the Plein Air Unleashed’s offerings.

MIDDLESEX – The ninth annual Plein Air Unleashed outdoor painting event will return April 29-May 4.

This is one of the largest gatherings of plein air painters in the Commonwealth each year and allows the public to watch up close, award winning artists painting on location across Middlesex County, said event organizer Jeff Cherry.

The event is free to attend and participate. Be the first to see and purchase the paintings created during the week at a preview reception at 6 p.m. May 3 at the Deltaville Community Association building, 17147 General Puller Highway, Deltaville.

Good Luck Cellars will have its staff at the reception offering their wines for sale by the glass and bottle, said Cherry.

An exhibit of the works will continue from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. May 4 with opportunities to meet the artists and demonstrations, also at the Deltaville Community Association.
