Chocolate and wine tasting slated Feb. 14

WESTMORELAND—The Colonial Beach Community Foundation on Valentine’s Day, February 14, will host its fourth annual For the Love of Chocolate and Wine Tasting. The event will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the Colonial Beach Community Center, 717 Marshall Avenue, Colonial Beach.

The event will be conducted by Eric Nelson, the former owner of Artfully Chocolate salons in D.C., Maryland and Virginia and now a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Elite and the president of the Colonial Beach Community Foundation.

He has taught classes in pairing chocolate and wine for the past 15 years. Nelson likes to underscore all of the various aspects of the pairings, especially the health benefits.

“Chocolate and wine should be considered dietary supplements rather than guilty pleasures,” said Nelson. “Although, I don’t deny that the pairings are very pleasurable too.”

Tickets are $40 per person, or $70 for two. Tickets may be purchased from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at Coldwell Banker Elite, 233 North Irving Avenue, Colonial Beach, or
